Is IV Therapy Right For Me?

While our injections are popular and extremely beneficial, we often receive questions like:

“What’s the difference between IVs and injections?” and “Should I get an IV?”

The Difference

We love vitamin injections, there are just a few differences between getting an IV and getting weekly injections. With our IVs, you can receive around 12 times the amount of vitamins as you would in a single injection. This means many nutrient deficiencies can be eliminated at a faster rate. Our IVs have a base of water or saline with vitamin C, something we don’t inject because vitamin C injections are incredibly painful. The combination has multiple benefits: the water is hydrating, which is great for skin health, or for fighting off hangovers. Vitamin C is a powerful immune booster, antioxidant and, being necessary for collagen formation, does wonders for our hair, skin, joints, digestive tract and so much more.

The Mix

You might be wondering what else goes in our IVs on top of the water + Vitamin C base. Our IVs can contain all of your essential B vitamins, magnesium, calcium, amino acids as well as other vitamins and minerals. Additionally, we like to give patients a boost of the powerful antioxidant Glutathione at the end of IVs to aid in liver detoxification and immune support. We also have iron IVs for those who are severely deficient.

The Expectation

What can you expect to feel after an IV? As you likely know, B vitamins do quite a bit in the body. They help boost energy and metabolism, regulate your mood, improve your immune response and help your sleep schedule! Magnesium is great for stress, relaxation and sleep. Calcium plays a role in strengthening your bones while helping your heart, muscles and nerves function properly. Amino acids help us build muscle, decrease fatigue and soreness and increase fat loss. Some people experience a steady stream of energy after their IV, while others may notice a sense of calm and relaxation. All in all, these IVs do a lot for us!

The Patients

If you’ve made it this far, I’m sure you’re wondering “Is this right for me?!”

There are several things that might make you a great candidate for IV therapy. These treatments are great for those with gastrointestinal disorders. Nutrients administered via an IV go directly into your bloodstream, bypassing your gastrointestinal tract, resulting in 100% absorption. People who are dehydrated or who struggle to stay hydrated could see immediate improvement with IV therapy. If you’re feeling sick, vitamin C along with the other ingredients in our IVs do an amazing job of boosting your immune system to get you feeling better. Athletes, people who travel often, and individuals who struggle to stay on top of their supplement schedule can all benefit greatly from IV therapy.
